AS Colour loves new gadgets and innovative ideas, if there is new technology relating to t-shirts or labelling then we want to be involved.  Recently there have been some exciting developments in Ink cup printing which means we can now offer a tagless neck printing service for t-shirts alongside our existing relabeling program.

Tagless label printing or neck label printing is a method of labelling t-shirts by printing the size and care information directly onto the fabric of the garment.  So what are the advantages of using this method over traditional sewn-in labels?

• With tagless printing you don't have to order ready-made woven labels which reduces lead times and cuts down the need for carrying bulk label stock. Tagless printing is also ideal for smaller production runs or for jobs when you don’t have time to get woven labels made.

• Tagless printing can only be done on the inside neck of t-shirts. We cannot print on the inside of sweatshirts due to the material of the sweatshirt.

Print Plate Set-up:

Each individual print will need its own laser etched plate. Note you will need a plate for each size you intend to print. The plates will last around 5000 prints depending on the design.

Plates $50 each per size.

Artwork:

All the artwork needs to be supplied in vector format as;
  •  a single eps file per size with dimensions of no more than 50mm wide by 50mm high. 
  • Fonts should be no smaller then Helvetica Bold 8pt. Any smaller and we cannot guarantee you will be able to clearly see your text.
  • Note any other design smaller then .75mm may not print clearly.

Printing Costs:

The print cost per shirt is $1.30 to print in the neck (this includes the cost to take out the neck label). We require a minimum order of 300 units and all prints will be done in one colour, the ink colour options are Black and White only.  Black ink will be used on all colours except black t-shirts where white ink will be used.

If you want to place orders of under 300 units we can look into it but there will be a surcharge of $300 per print job due to the high wastage of ink and setup on smaller jobs.


Leadtimes:

The lead time for making the print plates is 2-3 days. Once you place your order allow up to 2 weeks for de-labelling and printing to be completed.  When your plates have been made you can place re-orders for tagless back printing as required, we will keep the plates stored ready for your next order.
