AS Colour loves new gadgets and innovative ideas, if there is new technology relating to t-shirts or labelling then we want to be involved.  Recently there have been some exciting developments in Ink cup printing which means we can now offer a tagless neck printing service for t-shirts alongside our existing relabelling program.

Tagless label printing or neck label printing is a method of labelling t-shirts by printing the size and care information directly onto the fabric of the garment.  So what are the advantages of using this method over traditional sewn-in labels?

• With tagless printing you don't have to order ready-made woven labels which reduces lead times and cuts down the need for carrying bulk label stock. Tagless printing is also ideal for smaller production runs or for jobs when you don’t have time to get woven labels made.

• Tagless printing can only be done on the inside neck of t-shirts. We cannot print on the inside of sweatshirts due to the fleece backing in sweatshirt fabric which will not take the ink.

Print Plate Set-up:

You will need a separate plate for each size that you intend to print.

Plates $35 each per size.  (all prices are GST exclusive)


Artwork:

All the artwork needs to be supplied in vector format as;
  •  PDF Format (see the downloadable PDF below for template.)
  • Fonts should be no smaller then Helvetica 6.5pt. Any smaller and we cannot guarantee that your text will legible on the back print..

Printing Costs:

All prints will be done in one colour only, your two ink colour options are Black and White.  White ink will be used on Black, Charcoal and Navy t-shirts, all other colours will be printed with Black ink.

Neck Printing Charges

01-49 Units           Flat price of $100* for orders under 50 units

50+ Units              $1.30* Per Unit (includes label removal and printing)

For orders under 50 units there is a $100 minimum charge due to ink wastage, extra setup and clean-up on smaller jobs.


Lead Times:

The lead time for making the print plates is 1-2 working days. Once you place your order allow up to 5-7 working days for de-labelling and printing to be completed.  When your plates have been made you can place re-orders for tagless back printing as required, we will keep the plates stored ready for your next order.
